The JTBC drama Welcome to Samdalri rose to its highest ratings of 5.32% (nationwide) and 6.32% (metropolitan) for episode 3, remaining the most-watched in its time slot. Despite the rise, the K-drama continues its streak of 5% nationwide ratings. 

But Welcome to Samdalri ranks on Netflix’s Top 10 lists in numerous countries, such as  Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Philippines, and Singapore, to name a few.

Episode 4 of Welcome to Samdalri will air on December 10 (Sunday). The K-drama is available to stream on Netflix.


The MBC rom-com The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract recorded 9.6% (nationwide) and 9.8% (metropolitan) for episode 6, its best-ever so far. The K-drama is inches away from double-digit ratings. 

Hopefully, the viewership numbers will hit double digits in the coming week.

SBS’s fantasy rom-com My Demon also rose to its highest ratings of 4.7% (nationwide) and 5.1% (metropolitan) for episode 6, a big leap from its lowest nationwide rating of 3.4% and metropolitan rating of 3.6% (episode 5). The K-drama has a long way to go before it hits double-digit viewership. 

Nevertheless, My Demon retains its global popularity, trending on Netflix in countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America.

tvN’s mystery drama Maestra: Strings of Truth premiered with ratings of 4.19% (nationwide) and 4.54% (metropolitan). The K-drama started off strong, remaining the most-watched in its time slot. 

Maestra: Strings of Truth is the story of Cha Se Eum (Lee Young Ae), a violinist-turned-conductor. Following her passion for music, she now leads a successful career. But, unbeknownst to others, she harbors a secret that can turn her life upside down. She encounters mysterious happenings taking place within her orchestra and decides to look into the matter to uncover the truth.
