Netflix dropped an official trailer for its upcoming variety show Physical: 100 Season 2 – Underground.

Physical: 100 is a Korean survival game show where 100 individuals boasting the strongest physique compete to find the best body. The participants compete regardless of age, weight, gender, or nationality.

The main poster features the contenders who will battle against each other.

The trailer commences showing the determination of the 100 participants, each willing to give it all to rise to the top. Korean UFC fighter Kim Dong Hyun stokes excitement, stating, “I’ll give them a taste of Stun Gun.”

Moreover, it is said that the scale of Physical: 100 Season 2 – Underground is twice as large as Season 1, and the area spans three soccer fields.

With the renowned art director Lee Young Joo and set director Kim Kwang Seok — experienced in working for large-scale productions — being a part of the production team, expectations rise for the visual aspect of the show.

Producer Jang Ho Gi gave a sneak peek into the behind-the-scenes production details, saying, “If the plywood walls used for the Maze Quest were lined up in a row, they would reach 6km, and 60 dump trucks were mobilized just to transport the walls.” He added, “The mine carts were specially manufactured, with steel rails exceeding 150 meters, and the sand used weighs a staggering 300 tons.”

The ruthless quests and the magnanimous scale against the backdrop of an underground mine take the excitement to a whole new level.

Running on non-motorized treadmills, pushing super heavy carts in an underground mine, engaging in combat in a vast maze — it is a fight against limits.

Furthermore, the contestants’ diverse backgrounds are also a highlight of the show. With former and active national team athletes comprising a staggering 30% of the participants, Physical: 100 Season 2 – Underground echoes cut-throat competition.

Physical: 100 Season 2 – Underground will premiere globally on Netflix on March 19. Watch the official trailer here
