Kim Jong Hyeon, Jung Ye In, and Park Chul Min Confirmed to Star in “My Friend’s Graduation”

NU’EST’s Kim Jong Hyeon and Lovelyz Jung Ye In, and actor Park Chul Min will be working together to create a story about friendship.

On July 11th, it was officially confirmed that Kim Jong Hyeon, Jung Ye In, and Park Chul Min will be the main leads of the upcoming K-drama My Friend’s Graduation. 

My Friend’s Graduation will tell the story of a 75-year-old grandfather and a 20-year-old young man becoming roommates at a university dorm. The two will build an unexpected friendship despite their age and circumstances. 

Kim Jong Hyeon will play the role of the 20-year-old man named Kim Min Gu who is unpopular at the university. He is exhausted from juggling both his part-time work and his studies. 

Park Chul Min will play the role of the 75-year-old grandfather named Hong Seung Bae. He will challenge himself and enter the university as a freshman. 

Jung Ye In will play the role of Kim Min Gu’s first love named Lee Yeo Ul. 

According to reports, My Friend’s Graduation will be released within the year and it will premiere on an OTT platform. No other details have been revealed yet.

This will be the third K-drama of Kim Jong Hyeon for 2023. The NU’EST leader recently starred in the K-drama Sound Candy with Weki Meki’s Choi Yoo Jung, Lee Han Jun, and Baek Seo Hoo. He also led the web series It Was Spring with Lee Hyun Joo and B1A4’s Cha Sun Woo.

Meanwhile, this will be the second upcoming K-drama of Jung Ye In. She will also star in the upcoming K-drama Na Ra the Socialite Wannabe and will work alongside Choi Seok Won. 

Lastly, this upcoming K-drama will be added to the long list of 2023 works of actor Park Chul Min. Early this year, the actor has already starred in several K-dramas such as Doctor Cha, Meant to Be, and Heartbeat. He will also join the upcoming K-drama Longing for You.
