Welcome to Samdalri dropped the second teaser that portrays the story of Cho Yong Pil (Ji Chang Wook) and Cho Sam Dal’s (Shin Hye Sun) love and breakup.

The teaser beautifully traces the history of Cho Yong Pil and Cho Sam Dal. What’s most intriguing is that the duo had dated in the past. Their relationship, transitioning from friends to lovers to exes, has been summarized into four chapters.

Chapter 1: The Beginning – The Relationship Woven by Grandmother Samshin

Cho Yong Pil (Ji Chang Wook) and Cho Sam Dal (Shin Hye Sun) were born on the same day in Samdalri, with just a five-minute gap between their births, and brought together by grandmother Samshin. They were fated to be together for life.
From the moment they were born, they held each other’s hands. Even while growing up, they stood by each other’s side through the highs and lows, sharing more days together than apart in their lifetime.
A voice says, “For 30 years since their births, there was no Cho Yong Pil without Cho Sam Dal and no Cho Sam Dal without Cho Yong Pil.”

Chapter 2: Ji Chang Wook’s Confession – “Let’s Date.”

Spending every day together eventually evolved their relationship. Though they tried to deliberately ignore and deny the current of affection that was forming between them, their strong friendship inevitably took the next step.

Cho Yong Pil‘s confession, “Samdal, let’s date,” marked the beginning of a new chapter of their relationship.

Chapter 3: Shin Hye Sun Breaks Up – “I Don’t Like You Anymore.”

Although their love seemed invincible, it sadly didn’t last long, as revealed in subsequent scenes. Cho Sam Dal suddenly turned away, saying, “I don’t like you anymore. So, let’s break up.”

However, the look in her eyes, as she turned her back on Cho Yong Pil, hints at untold stories.

Chapter 4: Reuniting in Samdalri

Time passes, and Yong Pil and Sam Dal meet again in the same place where their story began, Samdalri. They exchange greetings, saying, “It’s been a while,” but their reunion is anything but simple.

Despite their efforts to seem cool, they can’t help but be awkward in front of each other. They both seem eager to reveal their true feelings, like, “Do you know why I never came to Jeju? Because of who I couldn’t come?” (Sam Dal), and “Do you still hate me that much?” (Yong Pil). The emotions that were buried deep inside start to resurface.

All eyes are now on what new chapter Yong Pil and Sam Dal will write in Samdalri, as the story of their relationship is far from over.

Welcome to Samdalri will premiere on December 2. The K-drama will be made available on Netflix. Watch the latest teaser below
