CNBLUE’s Lee Jung Shin to be the main lead in “The Resurrection of the Seven”

CNBLUE’s Lee Jung Shin will be added to the cast of the upcoming K-drama The Resurrection of the Seven.

On February 23, it was officially confirmed that Lee Jung Shin would be joining Uhm Ki Joon, Lee Joon, Yoon Tae Young, Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Yoo Bi, and Yoon Jong Hoon in leading the upcoming K-drama new season of The Escape of the Seven: War for Survival. 

Lee Jung Shin’s agency FNC Entertainment confirmed that the idol actor will star in the new series. Lee Jung Shin was also seen in the recent script reading of the K-drama. 

The Resurrection of the Seven will showcase the revenge of seven people who will be against Matthew Lee and those who joined forces with him.

In the upcoming series, Lee Jung Shin will play the role of Hwang Cha Sung, the CEO of Save Company, the largest portal site in Korea. He was supposed to be the successor of the newspaper Emperor Daily. Because of his skills, he made his own company successful. In the series, he will be interested in Han Mo Ne, Lee Yoo Bi’s character.

The Resurrection of the Seven will begin airing on March 29 at 10 PM KST. It will exclusively air on SBS.

This will be Lee Jung Shin’s return to the K-drama world after almost two years. He last appeared in the 2022 K-drama Sh**ting Stars with Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Young Dae, Yoon Jong Hoon, Kim Yoon Hye, and Girls Day’s Park So Jin. 

Aside from K-dramas, Lee Jung Shin will participate in the upcoming CNBLUE Asia Tour 2024. This will be the group’s return to concert touring after seven years. 

Lee Jung Shin is known for being part of the K-dramas Summer Guys, Longing Heart, My Sassy Girl, Cinderella and the Four Knights, Click Your Heart, Seo Yeong, My Daughter, and more.
