Chun Woo Hee will reportedly join the upcoming K-drama My Youth with Song Joong Ki.
On June 17, several media outlets reported that Chun Woo Hee will be the female lead of the upcoming melodrama My Youth.
This will possibly be her follow-up project after the recently ended K-drama The Atypical Family.
This year, Chun Woo Hee appeared in two K-dramas. She showcased her versatility in acting through the fantasy psychological K-drama The Atypical Family and the Netflix original thriller mystery K-drama The 8 Show.
Many are already anticipating the next project of Chun Woo Hee and the possibility of returning to the romance genre.
Chun Woo Hee is known for starring in the K-dramas Delightfully Deceitful, Be Melodramatic, Argon, and more. She also appeared in the films Unlocked, Rustle, I Want to Know Your Parents, A Little Princess, and more.
My Youth will tell the story of a man and a woman who reunited after 15 years while living fiercely and struggling with their lives.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of director Lee Sang Yeob (Yumi’s Cells and Familiar Wife) and writer Park Shi Hyun (Run On). It will be produced by Song Joong Ki’s agency HighZium Studio.
Chun Woo Hee got the offer to portray the role of Sung Je Yeon. She grew up with a great academic background, and an amazing personality, and currently have a great salary with her work. After reuniting with Song Joong Ki’s possible character Sun Woo Hae, she will experience struggles in her life.
There is no confirmations yet on where the K-drama will be broadcast and when it will air.
